The Inca Trail - Day Two
This was our second day on the Inca Trail. We
were woken around 05:30 am to "coca tea" (coca leaves in boiling water
- according to our guide the perfect remedy for everything). The scenery
just became more and more spectacular as we headed up Dead Woman's Pass at 4
200m. After that down a steep stepped descent just to climb again over
another peak. Our guide, Virgilio, continued to impress us all with his
extensive and self-researched knowledge of the Incas, the ruins and the
surrounding areas.
